Carassauga App
The Project
Project Overview :
Carassauga Festivals Inc. is a non-governmental organization that hosts the largest
multicultural Festival in Ontario and the second largest in Canada. On April 2016, harpLabs was
contacted to create a mobile application to feature all the different country pavilions during the
festival. We were asked to create an application on a very short deadline of 1 month. Our team
took the challenge and was able to create a beautiful Android and iOS app that was featured
on all their promotions and “passports” (pavilion admissions). The goal of the project was to
drive user engagement through in-app social media communication and to collect visitor
demographics. A final touch we creatively developed was a transit bus assistant which helped
calculate the shuttle bus numbers and routes that an attendee would need to take to reach a
pavilion at a certain time.
